Find this frequent refrain that Raniere was incested makes me rather sympathetic to him. I think if that had happened he would have been even more dysfunctional to the point we likely would never have heard of him.

Callously suggesting suicide to others is wrong. Can't be rationalized as you try to do. Raniere is no samurai. Such an act, what would the consequences be? You don't know.

My "state" is very simple: I want this sociopath Raniere to be dead or imprisoned. Unfortunately, the justice system moves slowly, especially when you have the Bronfman brats' millions to pay for good attorneys and political support so that's not an option. And while murdering him would be fine and a noble act, it carries with the inherent consequences of prison time. So, all in all, suicide looks like the most expedient and least impactful solution to me. Besides, if it was good enough for Hitler, it should be good enough for Raniere.

I can understand the calls for suicide - I know of at least a couple of vulnerable people whose experiences with Raniere have resulted in their own suicides. How many more there may be in actuality, I have no idea. I can only surmise that the anger and grief of the family members and friends left behind must be overwhelming. That, I believe, is what leads to the statements here calling for Raniere's suicide.
I'd like to see an end to the damage he does as well, but my remarks about shooting a rabid dog are metaphorical. I sincerely hope that the legally actionable issues that are coming to light will be enough to shut Raniere down - for a long time or, hopefully, permanently. In the meantime, I'll support any effort I can to get the word out on how damaging and dangerous this individual is. I can't, in good conscience, call for his suicide, but I sincerely hope that all those who were hurt by Raniere - directly or as a consequence of losing a loved one - eventually find a path to peace and healing.

Keith does not need therapy. Sociopaths do not respond to therapy. The man needs to be recognized for the fraud he is. Thats all. There is no closure from more violence for those suffering. Tragedy begets more tragedy like a snowball rolling downhill. Those who experience the execution of a murderer of a loved one say there is no closure. It adds to the trauma of the whole experience for them. It only drives home the fact that nothing will compensate for the loss. These families say they want something noble and honorable to remind them of what they lost, not more violence. Putting someone to death by state sanction makes that person a victim, a martyr, the offender gains sympathy. This is not closure.
Families who have suffered this way feel that to participate in the murder of another human being for any reason, diminishes their own lives and that it makes grieving even harder.
Here, in this forum, among those comments, we need to find the key to Raniere's mind.
