Well folks I hate to be always right but the fix was in from the start of this little scheme to play musical Chiefs. Christopher Cole has been promoted to chief of the Saratoga Springs Police Department by Ron "the emperor has no clothes" Kim. In case you are worried about the fiscal well being of soon to be ex chief Moore he is likely to make about $73,000 a year in state pension benefits for his 34 years in the Police Department, based on his estimated earnings this year of about $110,000.

Hey Cole when your sitting around the Christmas tree with daddy could you ask him why he pulled the knife out of the lifeless body of Sheila Sheppard in her Church St apartment or why Mrs. Collins on finding her husband shot five times called your father at home and not the police and then ask him why he didn’t call the police either but went to the scene to clean up the mess before the rest of the force could get there.
Lets not forget the 60 grand he was awarded when Erin Dywer hurt his feeling.
Cris Cole is a fine upstanding young man and will be a credit to the Police Dept,and to the city of Saratoga Springs.
With nothing to show for his four years, Kim with one potentially redeeming final moment remains classless to the end. Maybe we can all refer to future disasters as a simply a kimjob.
I agree that Christopher Cole is a fine young man it is a shame his appointment will always be tainted by Kim’s role in it. Kim can be called a lot of things; bright is not one of them. Cole is a life long Republican and part of the good ol boy’s network that goes back to the First World War. Many old school Republicans have always been upset with the way Republican turncoat Lou Benton dismissed young Coles father Eugene from the force. This was seen as a way to set things right and the patsy Kim was played like a cheap violin. I am reasonably sure that Wirth supported Cole but didn’t want Kim to get wind of it. So once again Kim and company play the fools and the good ol boy’s get just what they want.

Well this has been a trip down Saratoga’s unsolved mysteries. For a city that is supposed to be so safe with its vaunted police department we have more unsolved murders, missing people and mysterious suicides than a full season of Cold Case files. Maybe if the police spent a little less time electioneering for their PBA picked candidates and lobbing for the new police station and filing law suits when their feeling are hurt or they run out of toilet water and a little more on actual police work this town might be the crime free city the police claim it to be.

Just be glad Kim didn’t name the soon to be laid off police horse Jupiter to be the next chief. He could have claimed he just wanted to save him from the meat-packer.

Here is the real story.
Kim is a Republian and always has been. Gene Cole is really a Democrat and the editor of this blog. Chris Cole was never even on any Civil Service list but Mayor johnson wanted him to be Chief so he had Patsy Berrigan at Civil service make up a State Administered and validated test and put Cole's name on it. Chris Cole, it should be noted gave $50,000 to Mayor Johnson's campaign so that explains why he wanted Cole and not Biss who only gave $40,000. Rick Wirth cannot think for himself so he did whatever Johnson wanted. Then Ivins made a motion to save $100 by not turning on the lights during Kim's press conference, so Kim got mad and tried to appoint Eileen Finnernan, but Val Keehn told him not to so he didn't. But then gene Cole had second thoughts about his son becoming chief when he was only Assistant Chief and so he told Jasper Nolan not to support his son because he is good friends with in coming County Chariman of the Board of Supervisors Bill Peck of Northumberland who is tight with Sheriff Bowen who really wants to be Chief. So the mayor told Bowen he could have the dispatchers if he stepped aside and let Cole be chief because he gave Johnson $50,000. But Jasper didn't like that so he told Ivins to layoff 14 cops. The PBA always gets their way so instead of laying off 14 cops the city hired 10 more, effective January 1st. Cole wants a SWAT team in place to gaurd City Council meetings but ivins says the Sheriff can do that even though the Sheriff has no SWAT team. Johnson didn't go for that plan so he told Bill Peck to muzzle Bowen and then Bowen said, I always liked gene Cole so make his Son chief. Rick Wirth OK'd the deal and they needed Ron Kim to make it all happen so they promised Eileen Finnernan a job answering phones at party headquarters and they bumped up Ed Moore's salary for leaving early as a bonus to him leaving early so Cole could be chief.
At least that is what I heard and is about as reliable and close to common sense and reality as the other posts on this retarded blog including the moderator.

I have found Cole to be arrogant, unpleasant, and inarticulate.
So this clown Moore gets 73000 a year state tax free for what the next 20 years till he keels over and what if he marries a 18 year old on his death dead she collects till 2100 this whole system is wacked.
The problem with Andrew is whenever he is criticized he becomes defensive and just digs his heels in further. The more you attack him for defending Kim the more he will defend Kim just to prove he’s right and you’re wrong. He acted the same way when his Professors at Skidmore gave him any less than an A. That is the main reason he all but ignores the plight of the laid off workers at Skidmore who are paid a mere pittance he still holds a grudge his talent was not significantly recognized.
Eugene Cole like him or hate him was a Saratoga legend. He didn’t always play by the book and didn’t have a Masters degree in criminal science but he had common sense lived in the city and loved this city. He new when to crack a wife beater over the head or take some unfortunate drunk drivers keys away who had just found out he was laid off from GE. He cleaned up our messes and hid our suicides and protected our reputations he was a Saratoga Character and an original and there will never be another one who can replace him

Pulled the comments naming a person as a suspect in a murder I see. Seems the threat of a lawsuit is enough to make you behave with some common human decency. Too bad it takes the suggestion of legal action for that. Its unfortunate but all these bloggers who enjoy posting half truths and speculations appear to not care at all if they are damaging to people beyond their anonymous blogger world. But seriously, why come on this site if you don't like it? There are a lot worse sites out there and the people participating here are blowing off steam.
