What the hell do you think you're doing? Taking your cues from the Rove playbook? You don't have enough resources to shield yourself from your own fate. Now that people know who you are, do you think this is a wise move on your part? Or are you some weird masochist?

I lived here for 12 years and had always had a very high regard for the Saratoga Springs Police. That was until they joined up with the likes of Kim. I have never seen such low public support for the Police in my life. Well you know what they say “you lie with dogs you wake up with fleas.”
He does allude to a good talking point: Ron Kim's infatuation with increasing the size and scop of the city's PS force. The "SWAT TEAM" initiative is just one example.
You must admit, this IS a perverse (almost absurd) prgram on the Emperor's part: oufitting a SWAT team in the most lily white town in the state.
But if he gets his wish, he need to justify the investment by trotting it out from time to time, right?
So when will we see such displays of force? I would bet:
- The annual Skidmore 4/20 pot celebration
- Travers Day at Siro's
- The Elks Flag Day parade
- The High School homecoming game
- Saratoga Arts Fest
- St Patty's Day at Parting Glass

What am I hoping? That Kim and his NXIVM cronies like Connolly and Martin will finally be driven out of city government. Then the police will be able to negotiate a fair contract and realistic plans might be brought to the table for a new Police Station some time in the future.

On any given day, the Police Dept. has these people on duty. A Chief, an Asst. Chief, a Captain, three lieutenants, three sergeants, four investigators, three juvenile aid counselors, and then we also have the six mandatory patrolmen, complete with patrol cars, investigator's cars, chief's car, asst. chief's car, and miscellaneous cars such as the Dare Car.
And that's only the day shift,......shall I go on?
The point is this........they ALL ARE POLICE. They ALL can respond to emergencies, they ALL are trained and re-trained to the point ad-nauseum.
They ALL can respond, ALL of them.
Don't forget the arson investigations, the undercover drug unit, etc. etc.
Shall we talk Fire Dept.?? Shall we go there?

I'm going to cast my ballot for anyone that is NOT an incumbent except for Johnson. Don't care who they are, what they've done, who's running against them, if they are an incumbent I'm voting against them. Simple. Obviously the current bunch aren't doing the job so let's try the other guy, even if it's Satan or Hitler, what the hell? Could they be any worse? And if they are, what does that say about the current state of affairs? We're left with the choice of the lesser of two evils?
